THE ROUND 2 draw in the 2014 All-Ireland senior football qualifiers takes place next Monday morning on RTÉ Radio One’s Morning Ireland programme.
The new qualifying system this year sees the draw split into Round 2A and Round 2B. The four games in Round 2A will take place on Saturday July 5th with the four games in Round 2B pencilled in for Saturday July 12th.
Teams that have met before can meet again. The draw procedure is that a team from each bowl is placed unopened in a middle bowl and the first team drawn from this has home advantage.
The exception is if two teams who have already met in the 2014 provincial championships are drawn to meet, the winner of the earlier game in the championship shall have home advantage irrespective of who comes out first – (Wexford v Longford, Tipperary v Limerick).
