TRIBUTES HAVE BEEN flooding in following confirmation that Sean Cavanagh has retired from inter-county football.
Tyrone’s captain made his 89th, and last, senior championship appearance at Croke Park in yesterday’s All-Ireland semi-final loss to Dublin.
The 34-year-old Moy clubman bows out after winning three All-Ireland medals, six Ulster crowns and five All-Star awards.
His brother Colm, hurlers, footballers and even legendary jockey Tony McCoy have posted goodwill messages on Twitter.
