Ashley Cole agrees new 1-year deal at Chelsea

Will Frank Lampard be next?

ASHLEY COLE HAS snubbed the advances of Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain to extend his contract at Chelsea.

The England left-back has signed a one-year contract extension at Stamford Bridge, meaning he will now be attached to the London club until June 2014.

The 32-year-old has agreed the deal, with the paperwork expected to be signed off within the next 48 hours.

Frank Lampard, two years Cole’s senior, also sees his current deal run out at the end of the current campaign.

The former West Ham player has been heavily linked with a move to LA Galaxy in the summer, despite a resurgence in his form for the Blues in recent weeks.
