Barton brands Ashley a 'muppet,' urges Newcastle director to take lie-detector test
JOEY BARTON IS up to his usual tricks.
The QPR midfielder has decided to renew his war of words with ex-club Newcastle and in particular, managing director Derek Llambias and chairman Mike Ashley.
Barton, who left the club just before the closure of the transfer window, criticised Ashley and Llambias, tweeting: “If he’s worried now, him and his fat mate should be ******** it, if I decide to write a book. There’ll be no holding back on those 2 muppets.”
And Llambias responded angrily to Barton’s tweet, in particular condemning the timing of his latest rant:
Llambias also urged Barton to “concentrate on his football,” but the midfielder – rather unsurprisingly – responded with even more criticism, tweeting:
Llambias and Ashley are part of a long list of enemies that Barton has recently made in football, which also includes Gervinho, Karl Henry (or ‘Kelvin’ as he insists on calling him) and most bizarrely of all, Ed Miliband.
