Brilliant gesture from Feyenoord, as dying fan granted last wish

The terminally ill fan was given a special surprise courtesy of his favourite football team.

A TERMINALLY ILL Feyenoord supporter, whose last wish was to see his favourite team one more time, was treated to a special surprise before his death three days later.

As is traditionally the case, a significant number of supporters turned up for the Dutch team’s first pre-season training in which he was granted special access to the action by the club.

After he was wheeled out in his bed, lifelong fan Rooie Marck was then moved to tears when supporters at the ground chanted his name, lit flares and revealed a large banner in tribute to him, before joining in a rousing rendition of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’.
