Chart of the Day: Is the end near for Federer?

If Federer doesn’t win the US Open, a tournament he hasn’t won since 2008, this would mark the first year that Federer didn’t win a Grand Slam since 2002.

THIS WEEK TENNIS star Roger Federer was upset in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon by 19th-ranked Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in five sets. It was the fist time in 179 career Grand Slam matches that Federer lost after winning the first two sets.

The men’s semi-finals take place today without him. It is the second straight year that Federer bowed out at the All-England Club without even reaching the last four. This coming after winning six Wimbledon’s in the previous seven years.

So, at age 29, is Federer done?

If Federer doesn’t win the US Open, a tournament he hasn’t won since 2008, this would mark the first year that Federer didn’t win a Grand Slam since 2002.
