Battling The Drop

Clare make two changes and Dublin welcome back Cuala All-Ireland club winners

The sides face off on Sunday in Ennis.

CLARE MAKE TWO changes to their starting side for Sunday’s crunch Allianz Division 1A hurling league relegation playoff against Dublin in Ennis.

Brendan Bugler replaces Jason McCarthy at right half-back while David Reidy comes in for Ian Galvin at right corner-forward.

Clare are seeking to bounce back from last Sunday’s 2-21 to 1-22 loss against Waterford and replicate their 0-20 to 1-15 victory over Dublin on 12 March.

Dublin welcome Cuala All-Ireland club winners Cian O’Callaghan, Oisín Gough, Darragh O’Connell and David Treacy back to their starting side.

O’Callaghan and Gough fill the corner-back spots, O’Connell is brought in at midfield and Treacy is drafted in at wing-forward.

Fionn Ó Riain Broin, Cian MacGabhann, Domhnall Fox and Donal Burke are the players to make way from Dublin’s loss to Kilkenny last Sunday.

Throw-in at Cusack Park on Sunday is 2pm.
