THE TRADITIONAL BUILD-UP to the All-Ireland senior football final will take place tomorrow with the 40th running of the FBD Kilmacud Crokes All-Ireland senior football sevens.
The action throws in tomorrow morning with the opening matches in the ten groups at Glenalbyn, St Olaf’s and Silverpark. Group games will be played on a league basis. The winner of each group will qualify for the knock-out stage of the competition. The first games take place at 11am tomorrow morning with the knockout stages all pencilled in for the Kilmacud Crokes club grounds in Glenalbyn.
Five previous sevens champions are in action with Roscommon’s Clann na Gael in Group 3, Dublin’s Kilmacud Crokes in Group 5 and the Down trio Bryansford (Group 6), Castlewellan (Group 8) and Clonduff (Group 10) all in action as well.
There are also four reigning county champions featuring with Galway’s Corofin in Group 1, Antrim’s St Galls in Group 7, Cavan Gaels in Group 8 and Sligo’s Tourlestrane in Group 10.
