LEINSTER AND CONNACHT both secured victories in this afternoon’s hurling Interprovincial semi-finals.
Leinster saw off Munster 3-14 to 1-16 at Nowlan Park.
Michael Fennelly, Joe Bergin and Richie Power all scored first-half goals, as a dominant Leinster took a 3-08 to 0-08 half-time lead.

And ultimately, the spirited Munster fightback, which included a John Conlon goal, came too little too late, as Leinster won the match by four points.
The afternoon’s other hurling clash between Connacht and Ulster was not quite as closely fought.
With Connacht leading 1-08 to 0-08 at half time, there was little to separate the sides, before a Neil McManus red card changed the course of the game.
Despite Cormac Donnelly scoring a penalty for Ulster, Connacht were able to capitalise on their man advantage, with a goal from Davy Glennon, along with points from Niall Healy, Eanna Ryan and Iarlaith Tannion, sealing a 3-19 to 1-15 victory.
