Luck of the Irish as ball hits the stumps but bails don't fall off

Ireland are definitely winning the Cricket World Cup now.

WE’RE STUMPED AS to how this happened.

With Ireland struggling in their run chase against the UAE this morning, Ed Joyce enjoyed an ENORMOUS slice of luck when, facing the bowling of Amjad Javed, the ball hit the stumps.

However, while the bail flew into the air, it landed back in in place meaning the Irish batsman was not out.

He would go on to make a crucial 37 as Ireland, just, made it two wins from two.

To be fair to Joyce, he acknowledged his good fortune after the game:
