THERE WILL BE no action taken against Ireland star Robbie Brady for his alleged ‘headbutt’ on Wales’ Ashley Williams.
A Fifa spokesperson confirmed to The42 that “no action will be taken for such alleged incident”.
The news, first reported by The Irish Sun, means that Brady will be available to play in both legs of Ireland’s World Cup play-off next month against a yet-to-be-confirmed opponent.

Fifa had previously confirmed to Sky Sports that they were investigating the Burnley winger over the incident, in which Brady appeared to brush his head off Williams after being pushed to the ground by the Everton centre-back.
Talk of a potential ban drew widespread condemnation, with former Wales star Craig Bellamy telling Sky Sports that there was “no chance” the incident warranted further action.
