Graeme McDowell had his best tournament in more than a year at the weekend
GRAEME MCDOWELL SHOT a final round 66 to finish in a tie for 10th at the Shriners Open — his best finish in more than a year.
McDowell finished three shots behind winner Patrick Cantlay who claimed his maiden title in a thrilling finish.
Cantlay eventually outmuscled Alex Cejka and Whee Kim on the second play-off hole after all three ended level on -9.
The result was McDowell’s first top-10 finish on the PGA Tour since August 2016, and his best performance since October of last year when he finished in a tie for fourth at the British Masters.
After a strong start to the week, Seamus Power closed with a one-over 72 on Sunday, finishing down the leaderboard in a tie for 41st.
