THE INTERNET LOVES Michelle Jenneke. Loves her.
Remember how much buzz there was when the young Australian hurdler burst on the scene with her enthusiastic pre-race warm-up ritual at the IAAF World Championships earlier this summer?
No? The slo-mo video of Jenneke’s routine set to “Boys Boys Boys” has picked up over 18 million views on YouTube now — and it looks like she’s about to do it again.
A video of Jenneke warming up in the rain ahead of the women’s medley relay final at the 2010 Singapore Youth Games has been on the internet for a couple of years, but since it was turned into a GIF on Reddit, the clip has picked up a lot of buzz in the last 24 hours.
How much buzz? Well it’s already popped up on Huffington Post, Business Insider, NBC and SportsGrid in the last 24 hours and we’re betting there’s more to come.
In the interests of science, here’s the Google trend for “Michelle Jenneke” searches over the last 90 days. Is she really going to break the internet again?
