MUNSTER OPENED THEIR new High Performance Centre earlier this month, which is located adjacent to the existing UL Arena on the University of Limerick campus.

The facility, part of an overall €15million construction, was opened up to the media this afternoon and the province has released a video [above] which provides a glimpse into its first ever single training base.

It includes an extensive gym, medical and physiotherapy treatment rooms, offices, changing rooms, analysis suite, meeting rooms and a 65-seat auditorium.

“The High Performance Centre is a symbol of Munster’s ambition on and off the field,” said Munster Rugby CEO Garrett Fitzgerald.

“In continuing to work with the University of Limerick and base our squad here, we have access to Ireland’s leading sports campus and centre of excellence.

“All requirements are more than catered for in this fit-for-purpose facility and it is a hugely exciting time for the province, with everyone looking forward to this new era for Munster Rugby.”
