We'll know the Munster senior hurling final venue on Tuesday night

Tipperary and Waterford clash on 12 July.

THE VENUE FOR this year’s Munster senior hurling final will be announced on Tuesday night.

Tipperary’s victory today sets up a decider with Waterford on 12 July but we won’t know the venue until after a meeting of the Munster Competitions Control Committee on Tuesday night.

The last two Munster finals between the counties have taken place in Páirc Uí Chaoimh in 2011 and 2012 but the Cork venue is currently unavailable due to a major stadium redevelopment.

If the game is to be played at a neutral venue, the Gaelic Grounds would appear to be the front runner but Fitzgerald Stadium in Killarney could also be an option.

The other contender is Semple Stadium but it remains to be seen whether Waterford would be agreeable to Tipperary having home advantage.
