Pic of the day: Why Liverpool didn't fly home last night

It looks like they made the right decision.

LIVERPOOL WERE LEFT stranded in Italy overnight due to a ‘technical fault’ with their airplane.

Brendan Rodgers’ squad was forced to spend the night in a hotel.

With Sunday’s clash with West Ham in mind, Liverpool’s coaches were anxious to keep as much of the squad’s normal routine as possible.

They undertook a pool recovery session ahead of the return flight on Friday afternoon, while they travel to London on Saturday in preparation for Sunday’s game against Sam Allardyce’s men.
