Swansea to sink City and other Premier League bets to consider this weekend

We’ve also gone for another Leicester away win, Kane to flourish and a distracted Liverpool to end their season with a loss.

1. Swansea to beat Man City (11/2)

IF MANCHESTER CITY were motivated to give Manuel Pellegrini a send-off to remember they surely would have shown more fight last weekend.

They dominated the opening half against Arsenal but couldn’t put the Gunners away, switching off after scoring both of their goals.

Sergio Aguero has been in excellent form but this weekend he comes up against a Swansea defence that have conceded just once in their last four home games and impressed with a 4-1 win at West Ham last time out.

The price on a home win here looks generous even though Manchester City’s Champions League hopes are on the line.

2. Leicester to beat Chelsea (9/4)

The pressure is off, not that it ever seemed to bother the Foxes a whole lot when it was on.

Chelsea have struggled against pacy opposition this season and that’s something Leicester have in spades. John Terry’s suspension will see him miss a difficult outing against Jamie Vardy.

Leicester’s away record is staggering — 11 wins, five draws and two losses from their 17 Premier League trips this season. Just because they’ve already sung ‘We Are The Champions’ to the top of their lungs doesn’t make that redundant.

Eden Hazard’s resurgent form is a concern here, and further down the track from an Ireland perspective, but it’s hard to fathom why the Blues are the favourites for this one.

3. Everton v Norwich to finish in score draw (7/2)

These games are never easy to call. Nothing to play for, misery all round.

Both sides will be happy to see the back of this season. It may feel like a fresh start for the Toffees though. The gloom is parting following the dismissal of Roberto Martinez with David Unsworth and Joe Royle to take the reins on Sunday.

But the reality is both of these sides leak goals, while the now-relegated Canaries found their scoring touch again during the week.

Both sides may be struggling for motivation but you’d expect them to cancel each other out in an attacking affair.

4. West Brom to beat Liverpool 1-0 (13/1)

Jurgen Klopp might insist that he needs “momentum” and all sorts ahead of the Europa League final next Wednesday but the reality is he will likely pick a side for this that would usually only be fit for the League Cup.

Champions League football is on the line just three days after their visit to The Hawthorns, it’s a no-brainer; he needs to put bubble wrap around his match-winners.

Only Aston Villa (27) have scored fewer than West Brom’s paltry 33 this season and the Baggies have failed to score in their last three home games. But they should nudge this one against a distracted Reds outfit.

5. Harry Kane to score two or more v Newcastle (6/1)

It’s been a rough few days for the Magpies and it’s probably not going to get any easier.

Spurs have gone off the boil in recent weeks, clearly missing the suspended Dele Alli, but you’d expect them to finish the season on a high to ensure they cement their status as the best team in north London for the next few months.

Arsenal look a sure thing to claim three points this weekend, Spurs know what they need to do.

Harry Kane will also want to ensure the Golden Boot title is his for the 2015/16 season, no English player has accomplished the feat since Kevin Phillips in 1999/00. His tally of 25 goals is just one clear of Vardy, with Aguero a futher goal behind.

You’d expect Kane to make a big statement ahead of Euro 2016 and against a heartbroken, relegated Newcastle he has the ideal platform.
