A referee broke a player's nose in The Netherlands over the weekend
THIS ONE LOOKED sore. Barendrecht took on Scheveningen in a Dutch amateur league on Saturday with hilarious, but painful, consequences.
Barendrecht left-back Mitchell van Gastel was jogging serenely across the pitch before he was caught with a vicious elbow by the referee, Wim Bronsvoort.
It was a complete accident obviously but van Gastel won’t be laughing as he looks set for a spell on the sidelines with a broken nose.
