'He would give us something' - Redknapp talks up Keane loan swoop

The QPR coach appears to have forgiven the LA Galaxy striker for the infamous Christmas party incident.

QPR BOSS HARRY Redknapp has indicated he would be willing to make an attempt to sign Robbie Keane on loan during the upcoming January transfer window.

Speaking to reporters, the manager said:

“Robbie’s a good shout. He probably would be an interesting player. I haven’t spoken to him yet, but he would be an interesting player.

“He’s a good pro and he would be the ideal type to have around for sure because he would give us something. He had a good season, scored goals and did well.”

Keane famously incurred the wrath of Redknapp after organising a Spurs Christmas party against his wishes, while playing there, and was subsequently frozen out at Tottenham.

However, the QPR boss appears to have forgiven Keane for that incident and seems eager to sign him up.

Keane, meanwhile, has previously refused to commit to a move back to England, saying:

“I haven’t even thought of it, to be honest with you. I look forward to a rest now. It’s been a long season for me, I’ve played a lot of football.

“It’s not certain now. I’ll think about it in a couple of weeks.”
