Cristiano Ronaldo scores FIVE as Real Madrid thump Espanyol

Ronnie overtakes Raul at the top of the Madrid goalscoring charts.

CRISTIANO RONALDO SCORED his 226th La Liga goal (and his 227th, 228th, 229th and 230th) as Real Madrid thumped Espanyol 6-0.

Ronaldo equalled Raul’s league record with a quick-fire hattrick inside the opening 20 minutes.

Karim Benzema added a fourth before the break but it was the Ronaldo show again as he scored again in the 61st and 81st minutes to cap a fine day’s work.
