RTÉ's 'Shattered' promo pretty much sums up the mood ahead of Italy v Ireland

It’s game day.

“WHICHEVER WAY YOU want to spin it, Ireland can’t win a Triple Crown, they can’t win a Grand Slam.”

Argue about buses and police outriders and complacency and sluggishness all you want — God knows we’ve had enough of that over the last few days — but there’s no arguing with Shane Horgan’s summation of last week’s defeat in Scotland.

But there are still four games and a championship to play for, starting this afternoon against Italy in the Stadio Olimpico.

From ‘Shattered’ to ‘Start Me Up’, RTÉ’s promo has pretty much nailed the national mood ahead of a game which Ireland simply cannot afford to lose.
