AFTER CLAIMING A bonus point win with a weakened side against Zebre last Friday, Rob Penney has bolstered the side for this evening’s clash with Treviso.
Simon Zebo returns to his familiar number 11 shirt after a brief summer stint with the Lions.
New captain Peter O’Mahony will lead his side out for the first time in his official capacity as the southern province hope to avenge a 34 – 10 hammering to the Italian side in February.
Keith Earls is also brought back into the side, taking up the right wing spot with Casey Laulala and James Downey occupying the centre.
CJ Stander drops to the bench to facilitate the captain’s return while the injured Tommy O’Donnell is replaced at openside by Niall Ronan.
Leinster, meanwhile have made just one change to the pack for their visit to Scotstoun in Glasgow.
Tom Denton comes into the second row in place of Devin Toner while behind the scrum Isaac Boss makes his first start of the season.
Ian Madigan continues at fullback with Jimmy Gopperth in control of the number 10 shirt.
Rob Kearney and Cian Healy could make their first appearance of the season from the bench.
Elsewhere, Connacht have named new signing Craig Clarke in their team for the inter-provincial clash with Ulster at the Sportsground tomorrow night.
Former New Zealand U20 captain Jake Heenan is another to make his first start, coming into the back row at blindside flanker. The only other change to the team is Fionn Carr, who returns on the wing after missing last weekend’s disappointing 21-10 loss in Cardiff.
Ulster go to Galway in search of their first PRO12 win of the season following losses to the Dragons and Glasgow. Ian Porter keeps the number nine jersey having impressed last weekend.
There are three changes for Mark Anscombe’s men, with Tom Court, Iain Henderson and Chris Henry all coming into the starting line-up to add much-need power.
Ireland international Craig Gilroy is a welcome addition to the bench, having recovered from a groin injury sustained in April.
