SOMETIMES A PICTURE paints a thousand words, and lets face it, its just too god damn hot for writing articles.
So this week I’m just going to point you towards this video by Irish photographer and videographer Paudie Scanlon.
It’s number three in series featuring Irish surfers (and one Aussie dude) charging on some beautiful Irish waves.

Weather Overview
So the sun is out and the gale force winds of the past five weeks have finally dropped. The question is, will there be any swell left over for a chance of a bank holiday wave?
The good news is yes, but you’d want to get on it NOW. A bank of isobars between the two Highs in the Atlantic will create a small amount of swell for today and tomorrow morning. This will continue to drift north however, and by Sunday it will be fairly flat everywhere.
The north – Today is the only day for waves in The North. The swell decreases all weekend and it will be onshore to boot.
Co Donegal/Sligo – Three to four fooft and clean today but again make the most of it as the winds increase and swing onshore tomorrow.
Co Clare – Cross-on for the Lahinch area, but still 3ft waves to surf. You might have more luck in Doolin with these winds.
Dingle Peninsula – While the waves will be smaller than in northern areas, you will have more chance of an extended surf in Dingle. Breaks such as Coumeenole will be sheltered from the northerlies while still getting some swell late into Saturday.
Cork & the south – Proper summer conditions in Cork. Tiny swells and light offshore breezes. Not even sure the waves will have the power to push a longboard along.
