Pastures new: Chris Turner's Shamrock Rovers departure confirmed

The player is expected to sign for Scottish First Division club Dumbarton in the coming days.

CHRIS TURNER HAS left Shamrock Rovers ahead of his seemingly imminent switch to Scottish First Division club Dumbarton, it has been confirmed.

The player, who had two months remaining on his contract, was released from the club by mutual consent.

He is understood to be making the move for personal reasons.

A statement from Shamrock Rovers’ official website read:

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Chris for his service to the club over the past three seasons and wish him the best for his future career.”

The player added on his official Twitter page:

“Sorry to say I’ve left rovers had 3 great years there. Gutted! but my family need me back in Scotland.”
