UNOWHATIMEANHARRY SEALED AN exciting victory at the Ladbrokes Champion Stayers Hurdle in day three of Punchestown.
Nichols Canyon was the favourite and Ruby Walsh looked set for victory at the top of the home straight, but Noel Fehily and Unowhatimeanharry (4-1) finished brilliantly down the stretch.
“What a fantastic race, Nichols Canyon pushed us all the way,” Fry said in the aftermath of one of the biggest wins of his career.

“Obviously Cheltenham wasn’t our day but it’s great to bounce back in a brilliant race like this.
“He travelled really well and Noel was brilliant on him, knew when to press the button and kept enough up his sleeve.”

Bobabout (8/1) won the JLT Handicap Hurdle, while Don’t Touch It (5/1) finished first in the Nick Coen Memorial Handicap Chase and Treo Eile (10/1) was first home in the Friends First Cross Country Chase.
Finally, the 9/10 favourite Great Field claimed victory in the Ryanair Novice Chase. It closed the gap to €167,000 as Willie Mullins continues to battle to take the trainers’ championship from the grasp of Gordon Elliott.
