Watch: 6 Guinness World Records that Usain Bolt could conceivably break

Today is the anniversary of the Jamaican athlete’s record-breaking feats, so we thought we’d commemorate it…

16 AUGUST UNDOUBTEDLY holds a special place in Usain Bolt’s memory.

This day three years ago, Bolt set the World 100m Record with a time of 9.69 in Beijing.

Exactly one year later, Bolt set the record again with a time of 9.58.

Therefore, to commemorate the anniversary of his exploits, we have composed this list looking at six other records that the Jamaican athlete could conceivably break.

Just try not to flinch too much at these weird, scary and painful-looking acts.

Record No. 1: World’s fastest toilet roller

Current Holder: Roger Black

Why Bolt could break it: He is used to working fast under pressure and the dedication it takes to become the world’s fastest toilet roller is, one would assume, nothing like as intense as the commitment required to become the world’s fastest athlete.

Record No.2: World’s fastest 100km running barefoot

Current Holder: Francesco Arone

Why Bolt could break it: The running part of this record should be a picnic for someone like Bolt. And given the amount of intensive training he has presumably been forced to withstand over the years, running barefoot presumably wouldn’t pose too many problems.

Record No.3: Most panes of tempered glass run through consecutively

Current Holder: Martin Reuben De Jong

Why Bolt could break it: Again the running part of this should be a cinch, while Bolt would surely have the mental and upper body strength to beat this record. The only question is: would he be willing to put himself through something so ridiculous?

Record No.4: Most amount of miles run in one week

Current holder: Mike Sheehy

Why Bolt could break it: No renowned athlete has ever bothered to break this record, so Bolt would obviously be more than capable of achieving this feat if he put even the slightest bit of effort into achieving such a task.

Record No.5: Fastest 100 metre hurdles wearing swim fins

Current holder: Veronica Torr

Why Bolt could break it: It’s almost unimaginable that Bolt wouldn’t break this record if he could be bothered learning how to run wearing swim fins. Whether he would or not, seeing the Jamaican performing in swim fins would be quite a sight.

Record No.6: Pulling a horse

Current holder: Reverend Kevin Fast

Why Bolt could break it: The fact that the current holder is a Reverend deserves an entire article on its own. And while the individual in the clip below obviously has an advantage over Bolt in terms of size, the Jamaican’s upper body strength would surely enable him to break this record.
