Have your say

Who is your pick for Footballer of the Year?

Now that all is said and done, we want to know who is your Footballer of the Year for 2011.

AS THE DUST settles on another hectic football season, there are still a few small matters left to be decided.

A jubilant Bernard Brogan told reporters yesterday of Pat Gilroy’s dream for 2011 — that Dublin would win the All-Ireland and that the elder Brogan, Alan, would be crowned his brother’s successor as Footballer of the Year.

Thanks to Stephen Cluxton’s ice-cool heroics, the Dubs boss is half way to seeing that dream become reality.

And, if the bookmakers are to be believed, the second part is a mere formality; Alan is currently as short as 2/7 in places to be given the nod at November’s award ceremony.

There are, however, a host of contenders for the individual honour. What we want to know is not who you think will win, but who you think deserves the prize.

The main contenders are listed below, but if your preferred candidate isn’t there, vote “Other” and let us know who you’ve gone for in the comments section below.
