When you’re playing alongside the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo and Ronaldo, you need to do your best to stand out and while Beckham’s time at Madrid wasn’t always happy, he occasionally delighted fans with goals like the above.
6. Manchester United v Barcelona, 1998
The first free kick on our list, Beckham delivered this brilliant effort to put Manchester United 3-2 up on Barcelona in their Champions League group stage game during the history-making treble-winning season.

This would turn out to be Beckham’s last goal for Manchester United and he completely bamboozled Everton goalkeeper Richard Wright by scoring at the far post from an unnatural right-side-of-the-field position.

Of course, everyone remembers Ryan Gigg’s solo effort from this FA Cup semi-final replay but this brilliant first time strike would have been worthy of winning any game. David Seaman never stood a chance.

It’s the goal that made Beckham a household name but, even 19 years later, you have to wonder what Neil Sullivan was doing that far off his line. Still, the fact Beckham had the vision to even attempt the shot means it has to be top three.

Perhaps the least Beckham-esque goal on the list but that almost makes this dribbling effort against Real Madrid even better. Ghosting past three defenders, the midfielder then buried the ball in the top corner.

Three minutes into injury-time, you’re 2-1 down and need a draw to reach the World Cup finals. It’s the stuff childhood dreams are made of and, not for the first time in his career, he really did bend it like Beckham.
