Dundalk fans warned about fake Champions League tickets scam

The League of Ireland club has learned of counterfeit tickets in circulation for the second leg against BATE Borisov.

DUNDALK HAVE ISSUED a warning to supporters who may have been sold counterfeit tickets for their upcoming Champions League qualifier.

The SSE Airtricity League Premier Division holders face BATE Borisov in Belarus on 15 July before the return leg at Oriel Park a week later.

And the club has released a statement after a number of fake tickets for the home fixture were offered to fans in recent days.

“Dundalk FC have been informed that tickets for the UEFA Champions League match have been offered in the town over the weekend,” the statement reads.

“These tickets are not genuine and will not gain you admission to the match. Only tickets purchased from Oriel Park are genuine – others are counterfeit will be identified as fake by our scanning systems.”
