THE KERRY SENIOR football final could be pushed back to as late as the second weekend in November as club fixtures begin to pile up in the Kingdom.
South Kerry and Kenmare District meet this Sunday, 25 October, in the second semi-final with the winners due to play James O’Donoghue’s Killarney Legion in the decider.
The final is scheduled for 1 November, already making it one of the latest county finals in the country, but it will be deferred until the following week if South Kerry are involved.
The divisional team includes players from the St Mary’s club, who themselves are scheduled to play in the first round of the Munster Intermediate Club Championship on 1 November.
The Kerry county board moved last night to avoid any clash and agreed to play a Killarney Legion-South Kerry final on 8 November if it comes to pass.
The Kerry representatives are scheduled to play either the Waterford or Cork representatives in the semi-finals of the Munster championship on 15 November.
