TIM CAHILL HAS always been partial to a spectacular goal, but even by his standards this one must rank right up there with the best in his career.
Cahill made his debut for Melbourne City today in a derby game against Melbourne Victory. At 36, it was his first taste of domestic football in his native Australia.
The former Everton man, who joined Melbourne City after spells in the MLS and the Chinese Super League, scored the game’s opening goal from all of 40 yards, as City ran out 4-1 winners against Victory in front of a crowd of 43,188 at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium.
