TOMMY BOWE’S CONFIDENCE-free display in Ireland’s final warm-up fixture against England was the lowest of a match full of lowlights.
This ain’t the warm-up though, this is the real thing, and Tommy Bowe bounced back to form with the above finish for Ireland’s opening try of the 44 – 10 win.
Even with openside Mihai Macovei getting a good hit on him, Bowe’s power takes him by the last man and his excellent balance and awareness kept him in the field of play long enough for him to use both hands to plant the ball beyond the line. Textbook.
