Wallace entered the game with a reputation as a speedster after last year winning gold medals for the 100m and 200m distances at the U19 grade in the All-Ireland track and field championship.
And he used that pace to devastating effect here in notching his first ever point in the senior championship as Meath triumphed in the game by 1-17 to 1-12.
