Big call from Klopp as Klavan handed chance to impress in Liverpool's defence

Meanwhile, Vincent Kompany has been ruled out through injury for City.

JURGEN KLOPP HAS made a big call for today’s Man City-Liverpool game, as he has opted for Ragnar Klavan rather than Dejan Lovren at centre back.

The Liverpool boss cited Lovren’s tiredness from international duty as the reason for leaving him out of the starting XI.

Meanwhile, Vincent Kompany has been ruled out through injury for City, with John Stones and  Nicolás Otamendi starting in central defence.
