One of the worst dives we've ever seen took place in the Uefa Youth League this evening

It cost Celtic dearly too as they were subsequently eliminated on penalties by Valencia.

CELTIC WERE KNOCKED out of the Uefa Youth League this evening after losing on penalties to Valencia in Glasgow.

But who knows what would’ve happened if the match referee – Craig Pawson – wasn’t so blatantly conned by a Spanish defender.

With the game tied at 1-1 and penalties on the horizon (there’s no extra-time), Celtic had a chance to win it when David Pasqual got himself in some trouble trying to clear a routine ball.

He did have an idea though – throw himself on the ground and pretend to have been fouled. So, he did.

Jack Aitchison was quick to pounce and raced into the penalty area, lining up a shot. But just as he pulled the trigger, the whistle went and play was brought back for a Valencia free-kick.

An absolute sickener.
