THE LAST TIME David Walsh appeared on The Late Late Show in 2002, he was rigorous as ever, as the video below illustrates.

Stephen Roche, on the other hand, who also appeared on the show that night, didn’t exactly cover himself in glory, referring to doping accusations made by Walsh and other journalists at the time as “sensationalism more than lies”.
