EDINSON CAVANI HAS clearly enjoyed taking centre stage with Zlatan Ibrahimovic no longer at Paris Saint-Germain.
The Uruguayan striker, who cost the French champions €64 million when he joined from Napoli in 2013, has moved to a more central role under manager Unai Emery since his former team-mate left for Manchester United in the summer.
The results have been pretty remarkable as he took his tally to 20 goals in as many matches in the 2-2 draw with Ludogorets last night with a top class bicycle kick.
By comparison, he needed 45 matches to reach that milestone last year.
That’s now 14 in Ligue 1 and six in the Champions League, while Cavani has also notched five in five for Uruguay this term to take his total to 25 goals for club and country.
