F1 once again tainted by Ferrari ‘team orders’ scandal

FERRARI have been fined $100,000 and referred to the World Motorsport Council under charges of bringing Formula 1 into disrepute after a controversial result at the German Grand Prix. Felipe Massa led for most of the opening 48 laps but gave way to teammate Fernando Alonso, who won the race, after what seemed to be a coded message given from the pit lane. The circumstances echo a similar fix in 2002.
