If you’re one of the lucky few who managed to avoid the sack/losing interest in picking players, you’re generally dubiously rewarded with the ignominy of friends outperforming you and slagging you off as a result/fans calling for your head.
Suffice to say, we’re less than pleased with finding ourselves in 700th position in TheScore.ie’s fantasy league at this late stage in the season.

So what went wrong? It’s simple really — it’s basically the Premier League fixture pile-up that’s responsible for all our misfortune.
The deluge of games came so quick and fast that we couldn’t cope. Our commitments elsewhere, such as watching the Champions League, left us too tired to have to worry ourselves about picking a non-weakened team. Consequently, we are directly protesting the FA’s unreasonable behaviour by once again not bothering to pick a non-weakened team.
If it wasn’t for the intensive stress we’ve been under and the mental and physical toll these relentless gameweeks have prompted, then there’s no way we would’ve consistently forgotten to pick Suarez as captain.
Sure, I can bring in Aaron Ramsey for the injured Jesus Navas, but at the end of the day, I can’t really overcome the FA’s thinly-veiled conspiracy to ensure Shane Gillespie’s GillespieRoad win TheScore.ie’s Fantasy League.
I mean, how can we compete with that? We’re just a humble millionaire manager fantasy football player.
