FRANK LAMPARD HAS been released by Chelsea according to the official Premier League website, though it’s understood that this development does not necessarily mean he won’t be signing a new deal with Jose Mourinho’s side.

It does, however, mean Lampard is now free to negotiate with other clubs, creating further uncertainty surrounding his future.

The website also lists a number of other notable players being available on free transfers, including Chelsea stars Ashley Cole and Samuel Eto’o.
