Watch: Higuain ended his four-year knockout drought with this sublime goal tonight

The Argentina striker and Dani Alves rolled back the years against Monaco.

JUVENTUS STRIKER GONZALO Higuain came into tonight’s Champions League semi-final first leg having only netted twice in his last 24 knockout games in the competition, but emphatically banished his reputation as a player who does not shine in big games.

The Argentina international scored with a first-time finish in both halves to give Juventus complete control of the tie and put the Serie A side within touching distance of the final.

Dani Alves created both goals, the first with an exquisite backheel pass for Higuain to fire low past Danijel Subasic.
