ST PATRICK’S ATHLETIC ended their 14-year wait for a League of Ireland title win yesterday and they secured their victory in stylish fashion.

Pat’s had started the game somewhat hesitantly as last year’s champions Sligo threatened to spoil the party atmosphere at Richmond Park.

However, a stunning Greg Bolger goal settled any nerves and proved the catalyst for their triumph.
