AS WAS THE case when the sides met last November, a Shaun Maloney goal proved crucial in this evening’s clash between Ireland and Scotland.

The equaliser, which took a wicked deflection off John O’Shea, ultimately proved enough for Scotland to secure a point in today’s match.
