Jordan Henderson has scored his first goal in an England shirt but it was at the wrong end

The Liverpool midfielder’s blushes were spared as England came from behind to win 3-1.

AFTER A DOUR first-half between England and Slovenia, their Euro 2016 Qualifier came to life with four goals in quick succession.

Having conceded their first goal of the campaign thanks to Jordan Henderson’s own goal, England hit back immediately through Wayne Rooney before a brace from Danny Welbeck completed the turnaround.

Henderson headed Milivoje Novakovic’s dangerous free-kick past Joe Hart on 56 minutes to stun an already lifeless Wembley. It was a great finish, mind.

However, Henderson’s blushes were spared straight from the kick-off as Rooney, who is making his 100th England appearance, was fouled by Bostjan Cesar in the box.

The Man United striker dusted himself down to restore parity and move level with Jimmy Greaves on 44 goals for the Three Lions.

Welbeck then fired the hosts into the lead shortly after with a brace as England moved six points clear at the top of Group E.
