Pat Devlin’s side opened the scoring through Joe Doyle after just nine minutes but Shels fired back soon after with James English heading home.
The guests retook the lead later in the half when Conor Keely found the net. The game was put beyond any doubt when Cabinteely scored a third through Aidan Collins’ own goal before Christian Lotefa made it 4-1 in injury time.
