Familiar sporting faces and politicians among the crowd on the second day at Leopardstown
What better way to beat those Christmas blues than a day at the races?

THE LEOPARDSTOWN CHRISTMAS festival continued today and after punters were forced to brave the elements on St Stephen’s Day, the weather was, although cold, considerably better for racegoers.

Over 13,000 were in attendance on Saturday and there were plenty of familiar faces there to enjoy a day at the races.

President Michael D Higgins was among the punters studying the form book closely
