A BELOW-PAR performance by Manchester City last night was compounded by an awful Micah Richards penalty.

The full-back blazed his strike well off target, as his side slumped to a 5-4 penalty-kick loss after drawing 2-2 in regulation time.

Richards has struggled for games at competitive level with City in recent times, and this latest effort is unlikely to do much to endear himself to Manuel Pellegrini.
