CORK’S MOURNEABBEY AND Donegal’s Termon will have a chance to win their first All-Ireland ladies senior football club title on Sunday November 30th after both won their semi-final clashes today.
Munster champions Mourneabbey won out on home soil by 1-14 to 0-15 against Laois side Mountmellick in today’s semi-final tie.
The winners were ahead 0-10 to 0-9 at the break with Brid O’Sullivan netting the only goal of the game in the 40th minute. That pushed Mourneabbey ahead by four and proved to be a crucial score as they ran out two-point winners in the end.
Donegal’s Termon claimed a two-point win in Clonberne in Galway against Kilkerrin-Clonberne in the other semi-final tie. Geraldine McLoughlin struck 2-4 for the winners.
Elsewhere the All-Ireland intermediate final will feature Kerry’s Castleisland Desmonds against Galway’s Clonbur after today’s semi-final ties while the junior decider will be a contest between Limerick’s Murroe-Boher and Roscommon’s St Ciaran’s.
