Penney delays naming Munster squad as absentee list grows

James Coughlan and Luke O’Dea are among those who have been ruled out for the game.

MUNSTER COACH ROB Penney has said he will delay naming his squad for Saturday’s clash with Newport Dragons at Thomond Park Stadium.

An A Interprovincial is taking place on Thursday, while the side also have to cope with several absentees through injury, including James Coughlan (groin)  and Luke O’Dea (ankle).

Meanwhile, Denis Hurley (throat) and Ivan Dineen (stomach) both missed training today and are doubtful for the game.

However, Simon Zebo and Niall Ronan are expected to be named in the squad after recovering from recent injuries.

Prop John Ryan has also resumed training, and is likely to be involved in tomorrow’s A game (Garryowen FC).
