Liverpool to edge past Palace, Saints to frustrate Chelsea and other Premier League bets to consider

Plus, Nacer Chadli to get on the scoresheet first against Manchester City.

1. Liverpool to beat Crystal Palace and both teams to score (21/10)

JURGEN KLOPP’S SIDE are the form team in the Premier League at the moment, with only goal difference keeping the Reds off top spot.

There should be goals at Selhurst Park, with Palace not keeping a clean sheet in any of their last 14 Premier League games. The visitors also continue to struggle defensively, and have not kept the opposition scoreless in their last 10 away Premier League matches.

Alan Pardew’s side have also managed to score in each of their last nine league meetings against Liverpool, which could mean goals are on the cards in the evening kick-off.

Klopp’s side continue to look vulnerable from set-pieces and must be wary of former striker Christian Benteke, who may feel he has a point to prove on Saturday evening.

As last weeks encounter against West Brom showed, Liverpool remain suspect at the back despite dominating the Baggies for the vast majority of the game. Liverpool should still edge this one.

2. Watford to win to nil against Hull (2/1)

Watford come into this game against struggling Hull with back-to-back clean sheets under their belt, and they will be hoping to maintain that form against their mis-firing visitors on Saturday.

To make matters worse for Mike Phelan’s side, the Tigers will arrive at Vicrage Road without their injured top scorer and creative spark, Robert Snodgrass.

Hull have suffered five consecutive league defeats, a run that is unlikely to be stopped in Hertfordshire this weekend.

3. Tottenham to beat Leicester with under 2.5 goals in the game (14/5)

Tottenham are four games without a win, and appear to be missing their talismanic striker Harry Kane, with only two goals in those matches. But their nine-match unbeaten start to the season is their best-ever beginning to a Premier League campaign.

Leicester on the other hand, have lost all four of their away Premier League matches so far this season, and even though the Foxes are on the verge of Champions League qualification, Claudio Ranieri may opt to rest a couple of key players with one eye on the trip to Copenhagen.

Spurs should have enough star quality to edge past the Premier League champions, but it will be close.

4. Nacer Chadli to score first against Man City (10/1)

For the first time in his managerial career, Pep Guardiola has gone six games without a victory, and the former Bayern Munich manger will need his Manchester City side to get back on track before Barcelona visit town next week.

West Brom though, can ill-afford to concede the first goal of this game, and will be looking to their pacy forwards to latch on to any potential errors in the City backline.

Belgium international Nacer Chadli has scored four league goals in his last five games for West Brom, and could make Guardiola’s life uncomfortable at The Hawthorns this weekend.

5. Southampton to snatch a draw at home to Chelsea (12/5)

Both sides come into this fixture on the back of impressive results against the two Manchester clubs, with the Saints picking up a valuable point at the Etihad Stadium, and Chelsea crushing Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

Claude Puel’s side are unbeaten at home this season, and have only lost once in their last 10 games. Chelsea too are in a rich vein of form, with three consecutive league wins under their belt.

These two sides may cancel each other out on Sunday afternoon, but in the context of the season so far, it could be a point gained for both, rather than two dropped.
